title: SliTaz linux on ARM devices (e.g. Raspberry Pi)


I am currently running (0) SliTaz linux also on some ARM (1) devices.

"A base system will use around 20mb of RAM.
SliTaz can turn an ARM device into a music or web server, a NAT, an IRC bot, a small desktop and much more."

There is also an image for Raspberry PIs available (see here: (2) ).

Things that come to mind:

 *    I wanted the accustomed package manager (tazpkg) at begin, not the new spk (since new syntax). Now I run both, 
and it's great
 *    Currently, I am building packages as I need with the toolchain, since the ARM packages need some fixes to 
build.

So, if you like to fiddle in a terminal:
... the arm-base is image for you...
or just get one of the Raspberry PI images with a ready Desktop...
or the non-ARM (3) versions (e.g. boot this lightweight linux into RAM and try it out)
