title: FireFox 60.0.2 installed on SliTaz (cooking 5.0-RC4) takes up about 438M HD space --- People were discussing last month on twitter (1) how much space SliTaz needs with FireFox (FF). The short answer: - FireFox 60.0.2 installed on Slitaz cooking 5.0-RC4 takes up alltogether 437.8M HD space: (2) Don't forget: - You have here a full desktop, with lots of apps (e.g. the browser midori). You can deinstall which you don't like. - When you install SliTaz fresh (instead of upgrading) you save again space, because of less artifacts left over from upgrading: -- I had here an image from 2018 May 22, booted this up, and had to do 23 package upgrades -- The package manager (tazpkg) had only FF 57.0.4, but thx to the internal FF update, I got the newest version FF60 - You can also run SliTaz just from RAM (no HD install) and run FF then. TODO: - do same test also with SliTaz Next - make clean install, aka: "optimized version" ;-) Erkan YILMAZ http://people.slitaz.org/~eyilmaz/blog/ https://twitter.com/SliTazLinux 2018 June 19 (1) https://twitter.com/SliTazLinux/status/1009077297805189125 (2) https://imgur.com/HBWcQJl
